   Meet Our Team

Larry Michael McNeal, Jr. – President, Licensed Funeral Director

Michael McNeal is the President and owner of McCullough Funeral Home. In this, he follows in the footsteps of his late uncle, and business namesake, Jimmy McCullough, and those of his mother, Carol McCullough McNeal, who purchased the funeral home shortly before her brother's passing. Because planning is an important part of every family owned business, in early 2012 the McNeal family began reviewing and planning for estate and business succession purposes. After much consideration and prayer, Michael purchased his mom's interest in both McCullough Funeral Home and Magnolia Park Cemetery. Prior to this transition, Michael had been in charge of the day to day operations of the firm for many years. With this natural progression, he looks forward to many more generations of his family serving this community. He feels honored to be able to continue in the legacy his Uncle Jimmy began and that his mother extended.

Michael had been involved in the family business since before college, when he worked here in the funeral home part-time for his Uncle Jimmy. It was during that time that he became interested in the business as a possible career for himself. As he continued to work in the funeral home, he realized that serving families and ministering to people in need offered a great deal of personal satisfaction and he has been proud to work at McCullough since the early nineties. His vision for us continues to be that we will provide the very highest standard of professional care to the families we are blessed to serve and that we will provide a workplace where our team feels like family, united by a common purpose to serve others.

Born in 1970 to Carol & the late Larry M. McNeal, Sr., Michael is proud to be a lifelong resident of Houston County. He graduated from the Westfield Schools in Perry, and then went on to the University of Georgia and also attended Macon State College. He is a graduate of the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta.

Michael is married to Shannon Shepherd McNeal, a Warner Robins native and former English teacher here in the Houston County School System. They have three children: Anna Lynn, Larry Michael McNeal III ("Mac"), and Ella. Along with his wife, he enjoys an active role in his church, Central Baptist. When away from the business, he enjoys spending time with family and anything involving his children and their many activities. Michael also enjoys spending time outside, and his interests include hunting, fishing, kayaking, mountain biking and, of course, Georgia Bulldog football.

Carol McCullough McNeal – President Emeritus

Carol McCullough McNeal, President Emeritus and former owner of McCullough Funeral Home is a lifelong native of Warner Robins and a guiding force here at McCullough Funeral Home. She was born to Mr. & Mrs. James Miller McCullough, Sr in 1944 at the Robins Air Force Base Hospital and was sister to the late Jimmy McCullough, from whom she purchased the funeral home prior to his death in 1997. Carol graduated from Warner Robins High School and attended Tift College until she married Larry McNeal, also a Warner Robins native. Sadly, her husband Larry passed away in March of 2013 following a complicated illness. Carol and Larry have three children; Jill McNeal Adams (Bo), Michael McNeal (Shannon), and Tom McNeal (Brandie).

In early 2012, and in the midst of Larry's increasing illness, the family wisely began considering the succession planning of McCullough Funeral Home. Her son, Michael, has been at the helm of the funeral home for many years, and ultimately in September of 2012 Carol made the decision to sell her full interest in the family business to him. By no means can this be confused with anything resembling retirement! Since this transition, Carol remains fully active in the day to day activities of the funeral home with no signs of slowing down. She is a constant presence and an integral part of the leadership of the McCullough Funeral Home family. Her vision, which was and is a continuation of her brother Jimmy's outstanding legacy of service, remains the guiding principle in how our company operates and how we view our mission to serve this community.

Outside of her involvement in McCullough Funeral Home, she is an adored "grandmama" to eight beautiful grandchildren and spending time with this active bunch keeps her extremely busy! Carol has a green thumb and is a lifelong gardener who loves spending time outside. In fact, the gorgeous arrangements in The Farmhouse (our event and gathering venue located here on the property) are often her handiwork and lovingly put together with cuttings from her own gardens. She is a long-time member of Central Baptist Church where she has served on numerous committees and she has also previously served on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army.

Jill McNeal Adams – Vice President

Jill was born in 1969 to Larry & Carol McNeal. A lifelong resident of Warner Robins, Jill graduated from Northside High School, attended Georgia Southern and then received a degree in Visual Merchandising from American University in Atlanta. After spending several years working in that field, Jill decided she wanted to be involved in the family business here at McCullough Funeral Home. It was in 1993 that she came to work for her uncle, Jimmy McCullough. Since that time, as the business has grown, she has served in various capacities throughout the company.

Currently Jill oversees the operation of The Farmhouse, our gathering and event venue, located on the property of the funeral home. She is also responsible for the extensive IT needs of the funeral home as well as of the cemetery, Magnolia Park. Additionally she oversees several other human resource functions throughout the businesses.

Jill is married to local attorney and judge G.E. Bo Adams. They have two very active children, Andrew and Caroline. Jill & Bo are members of Bonaire First Baptist Church and in addition to their involvement there, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Rosemary Reehling – Financial Controller / Director of Business Development

Rosemary, born in 1970 to Paul and Mary Jo Reehling, is originally a native of Peach County, Georgia, where she lived until she was 14 years old when she and her parents moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. She graduated from Charlotte High School and then from Mercer University in 1992. After teaching school for several years, her mom died in 1995 at an early age from cancer and she decided she would change career directions having found the funeral experience to be life-changing.

Ultimately, she ended up working for Forethought Financial Planning and Batesville Casket Company, and McCullough Funeral Home became a client starting in 1997. When the new McCullough facility opened in 2000, she was asked to come to work full time as the Family Service Counselor and accepted. She has served in different capacities since that time handling various other duties including the project management of the Christopher Smith and Magnolia Park acquisition in 2003-2004. She took a couple of years away to work for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C.; but…quickly found her way back "home". Currently she is responsible for oversight of the financial operations of both the funeral home and the cemetery. Additionally she oversees the complete day to day workings of Magnolia Park Cemetery. She also handles our marketing and is very involved with public relations management. She enjoys the varied nature of her position and those who know her know she doesn't like to sit still for very long.

She has always considered work a hobby, but loves spending time with her family, friends, and when she gets the chance she loves to spend time out on the Georgia coast. She considers the funeral business an honor to participate in, in any capacity, having lost her mom in 1995, her nephew Paul Jr. in 1997, and her brother Paul unexpectedly in 2008. Having been on both sides of the business, she feels there is no greater honor than to help people through those times.

Danny Hudson – Licensed Funeral Director

Danny is a native of Ocilla, Georgia, where he first began working in funeral service as an apprentice. After graduating from the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in 1976, Danny continued his career in the funeral business as a licensed funeral director. Danny came to the Warner Robins area in 1990, where he first worked at Christopher Smith Funeral Home. When the corporate ownership of that firm decided to leave the area in 2003, McCullough Funeral Home agreed to acquire their remaining assets and files and fortunately for us Danny joined the McCullough Funeral Home family. As a member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers, Danny has been a very talented and most experienced addition to our team.

Danny is married to Kendra Hudson, a first grade teacher at Russell Elementary and graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. They have one daughter together, Marley. Danny has two other children, his eldest daughter Melissa and son Garrison. He is also the proud grandfather of three granddaughters and one grandson.

Danny and Kendra attend Shirley Hills Baptist Church here in Warner Robins. In addition to his work with our families, Danny also enjoys cooking on the grill, watching Nascar, and playing golf – when he gets the opportunity.

As a member of the McCullough family, Danny feels privileged to have the opportunity of serving families in his community, offering them compassionate guidance and direction during the most difficult times they will face.

Chris Wadley – Licensed Funeral Director

Chris was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia, where he was a graduate of Statesboro High School after which he attended and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in 1993. Chris spent four years working for Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, GA. After that he moved to Macon, where he was the co-manager of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home for five years. He came to McCullough Funeral Home in 2004 and has been a great blend with the McCullough family from the start.

Chris is married to Robin Wadley of Statesboro, a first grade teacher at Lake Joy Elementary. The couple has one beautiful daughter, Makenzie Carter, who was born in 2004 and a handsome son, Hatcher Lanier, born in 2010. In addition to his activities at the funeral home and spending time with his family, Chris also enjoys hunting and fishing and time outdoors.

Chris appreciates the privilege of serving our community and finds a lot personal satisfaction in helping families when they are at some of their lowest points. He and his family are members of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Perry.

James Williams – Funeral Director Apprentice

James is a native of Houston County and first began working with us in 2010 on a part-time basis after the loss of his grandmother. At that time he was a Sheriff's Deputy here in Houston County, where he spent 10 years. In 2013 he finalized his career change and became a full-time staff member at McCullough. He is currently a Funeral Director Apprentice and is in the process of becoming fully licensed while finishing his degree in Funeral Service through Ogeechee Technical College. James says that after his grandmother's passing he truly began to see the funeral business as a ministry and he loves that his work now gives him the opportunity to serve and help families during some of their most difficult times.

James has three children: James, Logan and Katelyn. In addition to spending time with them he also enjoys fishing and the outdoors. He is an avid Georgia Bulldog, Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves fan. James attends Southside Baptist Church and continues to serve as a Deputy Sheriff for Houston County on their reserve unit.

Jeff Cleghorn – Licensed Funeral Director

A native and lifelong resident of Warner Robins, Jeff Cleghorn has been a part of the McCullough Funeral Home family since April 2009. He is a graduate of Warner Robins Christian Academy, Mercer University, Luther Rice University, and Ogeechee Technical College.

In addition to being a part of the McCullough staff, Jeff is a full-time music evangelist and concert pianist. His concert and music ministry has carried him into many churches of varied denominations in eight different states. He also takes part in a number of conferences each year, and co-hosts several senior adult retreats annually. Working at the funeral home provides Jeff with yet another outlet for ministry as he helps families move through the grieving process both as a funeral director and an ordained minister preaching many funeral services in our facility. He also has his own recording studio in Bonaire, GA where he produces his own music CDs as well as full recordings and demos for other artists. In addition to his solo music ministry, Jeff also travels with his mother and brother performing about 30 Southern Gospel music concerts each year as The Cleghorns. Finally, Jeff is a talented baker, offering a variety of cakes and cheesecakes for sale by custom order throughout the year.

With everything going on in Jeff's life, it is hard to believe that there is room for anything more. But, he is quick to tell you that his number one priority is being Daddy to his precious little girl. Her name is Clarissa Jane Cleghorn, but Jeff nicknamed her C.J. when she was less than a week old—and the name stuck! She is now 5 years old and enjoys traveling and singing with her Daddy whenever she can. She is definitely the apple of her daddy's eye!

Bill Engledow – Family Service Counselor

Bill was born in 1970 and grew up in Gwinnett County, GA. After graduating from Central Gwinnett High School in 1988 he worked full time to fund his college education and in 1999 earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Thomas More College in Covington, KY. After a successful career as a corporate manager for several large retail companies, Bill opened his own business in Macon, GA in 2005. In 2008, Bill lost his beloved father to cancer. Later that year he sold his business in Macon and joined the McCullough Funeral Home family as the Family Service Counselor. His work here at McCullough includes assisting families who have an ailing loved one with making prearrangements as well as helping retirees complete arrangements in advance to relieve their loved ones from the burden of making arrangements at a time of loss. Bill’s engaging personality makes him easy for families to work with, and he is also available to speak to groups about the benefits of prearranging. He enjoys very much being an ambassador for McCullough Funeral Home in the community. Bill has been married to his wife Karen (Sistrunk) Engledow, a Warner Robins native, for 17 years and they have four beautiful and talented children, Emilee, Marshall, Lily and Chloe. Bill and his family are active members of Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins where he and his wife serve in children’s ministries. Away from work, Bill enjoys coaching youth sports, hiking, camping, and hunting. Bill believes it is truly an honor and privilege to serve families at McCullough and saw first-hand the priceless value of funeral prearrangements when he lost his father. For him, serving families at McCullough Funeral Home is not simply a job but a ministry.

Linda Hanks – Reception /Insurance Coordinator

Linda was born in Washington, DC and describes herself as an Air Force dependent all her life. Her father was in the Air Force for 25 years and her husband, Arthur "Bud" Hanks, was a Chief Master Sergeant who served honorably for 30 years. She says simply "my blood runs blue". Having moved to Warner Robins in 1989 and after being married to Bud for 34 years,  he passed away in 2001 and her world changed. It was at that time we came to know Linda. Little did we know that several years later she'd be part of the McCullough family! We feel blessed that she is and she is a blessing to every person who walks in our doors.

Prior to coming to work at McCullough Funeral Home, Linda worked for Robins Federal Credit Union for nearly 18 years, ending her time there as Assistant Manager of the Visa department. After Bud's death in 2001, she retired - planning to travel. Realizing all of her friends still worked, and through a unique turn of events she came to work with us part-time at our sister company, Magnolia Park Cemetery; then having been "loaned" to McCullough – she never returned to Magnolia Park! Full time for many years now, she has worked in administration, in reception, and now also job-shares with the Insurance Coordinator. She says she "absolutely loves" what she does because she gets to comfort families and let them know there "is HOPE and life DOES go on". She describes her work as "daily healing" for herself, and says sincerely that "my heart swells with pride saying I work for McCullough and I truly believe God had a hand in bringing me to McCullough Funeral Home."

Linda is a member of Our Lady of the Skies Catholic Church where she serves as Eucharistic minister and sits on the Parish Council. She loves her friends, the arts, and going on cruises. More than anything, however, Linda cherishes spending time with her three children (Shani, Timothy, Kari Anne) and eight amazing grandchildren.

Carla Smith – Insurance Coordinator

Carla has been working with us since 2006 as an Insurance Coordinator. She considers it a privilege to help families work through the maze of necessary paperwork to receive their insurance proceeds, retirement or other types of benefits that may be due to a surviving spouse, child or beneficiary. Many of the families we serve are connected to Robins AFB or are retired from the military and Carla is familiar with the OPM, FEGLI, and VA processes. This can be a difficult task for families who are grieving the loss of a loved one and Carla says she finds her job very rewarding. We know our families certainly appreciate the services she provides!

Carla was born and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida, where she married her childhood friend, Jack Smith, also from Pompano Beach. Their son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kristy Smith live in Hendersonville, TN with their two daughters, Hannah and Lily Grace. Their daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Jimmy Phillips live here in Warner Robins with their three children, Tanner, Hunter and Shelby Kate. Carla and her husband, Jack, moved to Warner Robins in 2005 to be closer to their family.

Carla enjoys sewing and gardening in her free time, but what she loves most is spending time with family and attending her grandchildren's activities! Carla and her husband are active members at Central Baptist Church.

Beverly Scarborough – Cosmetologist & Funeral Director Apprentice

Beverly Scarborough has been with us since 2003. She is currently an Apprentice Funeral Director as well as serving as receptionist from time to time. She is enormously talented in the area of cosmetic preparation and she finds it rewarding to help families find peace in the final viewing of their loved ones and by assisting them in any other way she can. She truly has a calling and a gift in this and we are so fortunate to have her as a part of the team.

Beverly was born in Macon and graduated from Central High School. She grew up in and around the funeral business, as her mother worked with Snows Memorial in Macon for nearly 30 years! Shortly after her father's death in 1989, Beverly decided to follow in her mom's footsteps and began work at Snows Memorial in 1990 where she was employed until 2003, when she came to work with us full-time.

Beverly's hobbies include hair styling, cosmetology, interior and floral design and dancing of all kinds. She is a real people person and enjoys spending time with her friends and her family. We feel blessed to have someone with her kind and gentle nature on our staff.

Born and raised in Warner Robins, Kristen is the Senior Administrator and a full-time Administrative Assistant here at McCullough, overseeing the administration team. She is an amazing addition to our staff and her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond is a blessing to the families we serve. Her work behind the scenes is critical in allowing us to provide unparalleled service to our families. She is responsible for a variety of duties including writing obituaries, preparing and procuring death certificates, and producing personalized video tributes and memorial folders and other items that make each service a unique celebration of life.

Kristen has a handsome young son, and thoroughly enjoys being a mom. She is a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoys going to football and baseball games, watching her son play sports, and spending time with her friends and family.
