Rosita Colleen Huckeba

Rosita Colleen Huckeba passed away on February 29, 2016 following a battle with Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia, a rare form of cancer. Rosita was born on January 20, 1934 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was a young 82 years old.
Rosita was the wife of Walter Huckeba of Perry, Georgia. She was also the wonderful mother of eight children: Cecilia Hemme of Millington, Tennessee; Jeannette Butler and Robin Taylor, both of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Sharon O'Neal of Austin, Texas; Marcia Ozkan and Daniel O'Neal, both of Warner Robins, Georgia; Mark Huckeba of Navarre, Florida; and Michael O'Neal who awaited her in heaven. She also had seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was truly loved by all.
Rosita was an active member of Saint Christopher's at the Crossroads Episcopal Church in Perry, Georgia where she volunteered at the Attic Treasures Thrift Shop. A room in the thrift shop will be named in her honor.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Christopher's on April 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made in her name to Heart of Georgia Hospice, who gave her loving care in her final days.
