Martha Ann Turner, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017.
Martha was born on April 11, 1933 in Winder, Georgia to the late William Henry and Jesse May Lanier. As a young adult, she was a devoted teacher with Muscogee County Schools while her husband attended Auburn University. They moved to Warner Robins where she dedicated herself to being a stay at home mother to her three boys. Trinity United Methodist was her church home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Charles Brock Turner, Sr.; and her brother, Preston Lanier.
Martha's memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Brandon Turner (Theresa) of Warner Robins, Jeff Turner (Connie) of Cohutta, and Brock Turner, Jr. (Vanessa) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Dillon, Austin, Ross, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Anna, and William; siblings, William Lanier (Peggy) of Buckhead, Mary E. Guill of Tifton, and John Lanier (Sandra) of Lincolnton; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12th at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Craig Hutto officiating. Afterwards, Martha will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Martha Ann Turner to Trinity United Methodist Church, 129 S. Houston Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
