Rentz Napier, 92, joined his Lord and Savior in Heaven on the morning of Monday, January 28, 2019 after being in the loving care of Aleshia Mason and Karen's Caregivers Agency.
Rentz was born on July 16, 1926 in Montrose, Georgia to the late Thomas Napier and Peg Napier. He was a graduate of Dudley High School in Dudley, Georgia. Rentz proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked in transportation at Robins Air Force Base until his retirement. After retirement, Rentz volunteered for the Houston County Fire Department and helped local farmers with tractors and hauling crops. Rentz served for many years on the Board of Happy Hour Service Center all the way up until the present day. He was also part of the Masonic Houston Lodge, Number 35 F&M in Perry, Georgia and was a Shriner. Rentz’s favorite pastimes included gardening and bird watching. He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Centerville and was formally a founding member of Crestview Baptist Church. Most of all, Rentz loved spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, Rentz was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Tucker Napier; son, Tommy Tucker Napier; and sister, Martha Lewis.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Eloise Vesper (Phil), Alma Aaron (Steve), and Dawn Martin (Steve); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister Betty Staples.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service for Mr. Napier will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Mr. Napier will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 3 p.m. located at 1601 Sam Nunn Blvd., Perry, Georgia 31069.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of A.R. Rentz Napier to the Happy Hour Service Center at 202 N. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Napier’s arrangements.
