Ada Nimia Montoya

January 10, 1955 — September 16, 2018

On the afternoon of Sunday, September 16, 2018, Ada Nimia Montoya, 63, passed peacefully into eternal life.

Ms. Montoya was born on January 10, 1955, in Trujillo Colon, Honduras to the late Emilio Escoto and Andrea Montoya. A charismatic woman, she dedicated her life to establishing a home and rearing her children and grandchildren. Nothing could ever replace the joy that she found in her family. She also enjoyed cooking and knitting. A devoted follower of Christ, she loved the Lord with all her heart and humbly referred to herself as a daughter of the King (la hija del Rey de reyes). She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sonia Rudis Escoto, Clara Lidia Espinal, Dolores Montoya, Margarita Montoya, Carlos Escoto, and Bonerges Montoya.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Amparo Herrera (Juan), Cruz Danelia Bustillo (Freddy A. Avila), and Juan Gabriel Bustillo (Elda); her grandchildren, John A. Herrera, Joel A. Herrera, Ariana J. Herrera, Sarahi Avila, Freddy Josue Avila, Henry A. Avila, Juan A. Avila, Juliet Bustillo, and Ada Gabriela Bustillo; her great-granddaughter, Alessandra Lucia; her siblings, Agripina Montoya, Rafael Montoya (Ana Rebeca), Isidro Daniel Escoto (Doralina Ortiz), Rodolfo Montoya (Dilcia Calderon), and Roberto Montoya; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

Visitation with Ms. Montoya’s family will be Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Nanpet Motfwang officiating. Following the service, Ms. Montoya will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made in Ms. Montoya’s memory to Fresenius Kidney Care, 118 Osigian Boulevard, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
