Allan Walker Stowe

Allan Walker Stowe, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Mr. Stowe was born on October 26, 1949, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late George and Grace Muchison Stowe. He proudly served his country with valor and honor in the United States Army where he received a Bronze Star for Meritorious Achievement in Ground Operations Against Hostile Forces. Following his military service, he worked and eventually retired as a self-employed electronics technician. An avid RC plane enthusiast, he enjoyed talking about politics or electronics and gadgets. He enjoyed cruising and also remained active with the VFW in his retirement.

His memory will forever be treasured by his sister, Janet Shelby; his nephew, Stuart Shelby; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

The memorial service celebrating Mr. Stowe’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the memorial service. Interment will be private.
