Alton Ray Conner

Alton Conner, 83, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017.

Alton was born on December 20, 1933 in Wilcox County, Georgia to the late Otis and Zula Conner. He graduated from Pitts High School and attended Norman Park College. With great pride and honor, Alton served in the United States Army. Following his active duty service, He began his 35 year career at Robins Air Force Base as an inventory management specialist. Alton was an avid Warner Robins Demons supporter, a lifetime member of the Warner Robins Touchdown Club, and past president for both the Warner Robins High School Band Boosters and the Touchdown Club. He was also a member and Deacon of Oakland Baptist Church.

Along with his parents, his daughter, Michelle Conner White, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 61 years, Elnita Conner of Warner Robins; children, Melanie Conner of Warner Robins; Melissa Spear of Warner Robins; Marc Conner (Heather) of Social Circle; grandchildren, Damon Spear; Tara Snyder (Holland); Ashley Conner; Stephen Conner; Karigan Conner; Jordan Schell; Megan Caylor (Corey); 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gwendel Conner (Peggy) of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Alton will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Alton Conner to the Georgia Transplant Foundation, 2201 Macy Drive, Roswell, GA 30076.
