Alvin Black, 98, entered into eternal rest on the morning of Monday, May 14, 2018.
Alvin was born on March 28, 1920 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Johnny Young Black and Viola Etheridge Black. Of the Baptist faith, he proudly served his country in the United States Army/Air Force during World War II and Korean War. In his civilian years, he was a self-employed master mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert, Ernest, Roy, and Tip Black.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, John Alvin Black, Carl Stephen Black, Emily Susan Register, Rodney Campbell, and Cheryl Moore; and sister, Louise Black Clemons.
On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, Alvin will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Magnolia Park Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Black’s arrangements.
