Andrew "Andy" Neal Black

February 10, 1979 — October 5, 2021

Mr. Andrew Neal Black, 42, of Hawkinsville, GA, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Central Baptist Church Pavilion, 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins, GA, with Reverend Stephen Byrd and Reverend Tim Sizemore officiating. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

Andy was born in Americus, GA, on February 10, 1979, to Neal and Carolyn Black. He worked for Robins Air Force Base as an electronics technician for 20 years.

Andy was a man’s man. He didn’t wear pink and his body wash better have been in a black bottle. He loved hiking and camping, but not in a camper; he was either in a tent, on the ground, in a sleeping bag or hanging from a tree in a hammock. You can bet if you ever needed a knife, he had one and it would have been the sharpest in the room. In you ever needed a gun; he had you covered there too. He was who you’d pick if you were shipwrecked on a deserted island. Andy loved playing his guitar until his daughter, Roxy, came along and stole his heart and all his spare time. When he couldn’t play his guitar anymore, he enjoyed listening to the Allman Brothers instead. If he wasn’t reading his Bible, Andy was reading the Rifle Magazine or a book about Big Foot. He knew more useless facts than anyone and surely could have been a reigning champion on Jeopardy. Andy and his dad shared a special bond and a love for motorcycles. His wife, Kristin was his best friend and shared his passion for four-wheel drives and the outdoors. Andy worked hard to provide for his family and spoil Roxy with all the sparkly, pink things that she loved and he hated. Most importantly, Andy loved Jesus and he served Him faithfully. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, where attended with his family every Sunday, served as Greeter, and was Kristin’s sidekick teacher. Andy was a wonderful example of what a Godly husband should be.

He is survived by his beautiful wife, Kristin Black of Hawkinsville, GA; his precious daughter, Roxy Black; his parents, Neal and Carolyn Black of Alapaha, GA; and a brother, Nathan Black (Stacey) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
