Angela Bennett Bush Tomberlin

November 12, 1943 — July 24, 2021

Early on the morning of Saturday, July 24, 2021, Angela Bennett Bush Tomberlin, more fondly known as “Granny Bush,” joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She was 77 years old.

The daughter of the late Malichi Causey “M.C.” and Edith Virginia Evan Bennett, Angela was born on November 12, 1943, in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. She worked on Robins Air Force Base as a Item Manager for 36 years before her retirement. Angela enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

In addition to Angela’s parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Bush; and sister, Frances Wood Tucker.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband, Don “Duck” Tomberlin of Warner Robins; sons, Roan Bush (Alicia) of Navarre, Florida; Kevin Bush and Daniel Bush (Danette), all of Macon; two stepsons, Donny Tomberlin Jr. and Bobby Ray Tomberlin, both of Cochran; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Allie Barfield of Cochran; Riley Bennett (Debra) of Macon; M.C. Bennett III (Tina) of St. Simons and Ruby Tucker (Harold) of Brunswick; special friend and caretaker, Kimberly Miller of Centerville; her faithful fur-babies, “Precious” and “Buddy”; as well as many beloved extended family members and friends.

Visitation with Angela’s family will be Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Angela will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Angela Bennett Bush Tomberlin to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
