Angela Smith Stake

Angela Smith Stake, 57, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

Angela was born on December 18, 1954 in Athens, Georgia. She was a true animal lover and treated her dog, Maggie, like her daughter. Angela was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed spending time drinking hot tea on the back porch and watching birds. Her father, John Calvin Smith; brother, John Calvin Smith, Jr.; and Charlie Dog Stake, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of eighteen years, Steve Stake, McDonough; daughters, Brandy Skipper Mashburn (Rodney), Montezuma and Maggie Stake, McDonough; mother, Elsie W. Smith, Fort Valley; sisters, Gaile Brooks (Joel), Macon; Miriam Wingo, Auburn, Alabama; Carol Shiver (Frank), Byron; and Crystal Lynn Rose, Macon; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, October 5, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
