Angie Hill Sams

July 27, 1975 — December 29, 2017

Angie Sams, 42, walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 29, 2017.

Angie was born on July 27, 1975 in Fort Valley, Georgia. She lived in Roberta until she was six years old, when her family moved and made Warner Robins their home. Angie was a 1993 graduate of Northside High School, where she served as one of the first female managers for the Eagles football team. She graduated from Georgia College and then continued her education at Georgia Southwestern, earning her Master’s degree in Special Education. Angie began her teaching career in Houston County at Warner Robins Middle School. Later, she taught at Crossroads Center and then at Warner Robins High School, as both a regular education and special education teacher. Angie will be remembered as an amazing and caring teacher to her students and a compassionate colleague to her fellow teachers. A lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Angie enjoyed leading the girls’ youth group and chaperoning confirmation retreats. Angie’s greatest love and joy came from her family. She loved watching her children participate in sports and other activities. Angie had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that could ease any heart. Her incredible spirit and wide-open-arms approach to life will be cherished by all those who were blessed to know her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted husband, David Sams; adoring children, Connor
Ray Sams and Carson Lee Sams; parents, Toby and Anna Carter Hill; sister, Christy Nobles (Perkins)
of Warner Robins and brother, Brian Hill (J.J.) of Cumming and her special friend, Leah Waddell.
