Anita Louise Miller Giza

August 9, 1923 — March 23, 2017

Anita Giza, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Anita was born on August 9, 1923 in Havana, Florida to the late George and Ada Miller. She was a member of Havana High School's Class of 1943. Anita continued her education at Albany Technical School of Practical Nursing where she received her LPN Degree. Anita was a loving and devoted wife of Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, Frank Richard Giza. During Frank's military career, they traveled and lived on fifteen different military bases around the world. Anita loved to travel and was able to enjoy an Alaskan cruise as her last excursion. She enjoyed gardening, vacationing in Florida, spending time at the beach, and eating seafood. When she was unable to be at the beach, Anita would savor the flavor of home by eating at Captain D's Seafood Restaurant. Anita worked as an LPN in civil service at Robins Air Force Base until her retirement.

Her brother, Robert Miller, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Deborah L. Dick (Ted) of Springfield, Missouri; Charles J. Giza (Rhonda) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Brian and Tracy Giza; and siblings, June Miller Jones Reeder of Tallahassee, Florida; Elizabeth Miller Brooks (Harry) of Perry, Florida; and Frank Miller (Jennie) of Tallahassee, Florida.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Andersonville National Cemetery where Anita will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Frank Giza.
