Arthur L. Jones

Arthur L. Jones, 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at Serenity Gate. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2005, from 7 until 9 PM at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Houston County (Serenity Gate) 103 Westridge Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.

Mr. Jones was born in Sharp Top Mountain, Georgia. He attended Kathleen Baptist Church. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and served in the United States Army. His wife, Edna B. Jones; daughter, Betty Jean (Jones) Staples; grandchild, Tim Staples; great-grandchild, Tyler Cusick; and parents, Johnny and Minnie Jones, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, James Jones (Lucy), Fernandina Beach, Florida; Gerri Nau (Robert); Wayne Jones, Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Cora Thomas, Auburn, Georgia; Jewell Childers, Holly Springs; nine grandchildren; seventeen great- grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
