Ava Mikayla West was born sleeping on Sunday, March 31, 2019.

I lived my life inside you

The Angels play it back to me

I know how much that I am wanted
I feel so very blessed
Of all the mommy’s in the world

The brightest star, the most dazzling light

Im that little breeze in the summer
And im that unexpected white feather
I plucked it from my downy wings
So that you remember we are always together

I know how much it hurt your soul
When we had to say goodbye
But I’m not gone, I’m always here
I’m your sweet little butterfly

She is survived by her mommy and daddy, Ashley and Curtis West; her siblings, Amia and Prince West; her grandparents, Vernancy Jenkins and Charles and Kim Young; great-grandparents, Kathleen Tolbert, Jeraldin and Connie Dwight, and Floyd Phillips; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ava was predeceased by her grandparents, Mary West and Curtis Mixon.

A memorial service celebrating Ava will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
