BR Jackson, 75, entered into rest on Monday, November 11, 2019.

BR was born in Demopolis, Alabama to the late Fredrick and Alice Jackson on June 24, 1944. He retired from Houston Fence Company as a crew supervisor. For fun, he loved drawing and watching sports, but his family always came first. BR was a member of First Baptist Church on Garmon Street where he served as an usher.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Ethel Jackson of Warner Robins; children, Valerie Peterson and Samuel JeWayne Gates (Tracy), both of Warner Robins, and Travis Sentell Gates of Macon; grandchildren, Angel Nichole Peterson, La’JaDa Gates, and Malison Gates; godchildren, LaQuona Foster and Onajuanita Foster (Chris); siblings, Mary Jackson, Marjie Jackson, Arthur Jackson, and Jim Jackson, all of Alabama; special friends, Marvin and Geanet James, Robert and Beverly Sayles, and Barbara and George Hargrove.

Visitation will be Monday, November 18, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at First Baptist Church on Garmon Street with Pastor Josh B. Kirvin, Sr. officiating. Afterward, BR will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery South.
