Barbara Ruth Lee Brown

Barbara Ruth Lee Brown, 81, walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the afternoon of Sunday, February 25, 2018.

Mrs. Brown was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 5, 1937 and was of the Baptist faith. A wonderful homemaker who loved to cook, she was also a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother. Her world revolved around her grandchildren. Ruth’s passion for music, especially the Gaither Vocal Band, watching cooking shows, and the love she had for her family are all memories that her family will always reflect on with a smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ruth leaves her memory behind with her loving husband of 62 years, William D. Brown, Jr. and children, Teresa Lynn Brown and Daniel Scott Brown, all of Kathleen; grandchildren, Chase Daniel Brown, Jacob Will Brown (Alyssa) and Dalton Cole Brown; brothers, George Beckner of Louisville, Kentucky and Robert Beckner (Linda) of Spring Hill, Florida; and a number of adoring nieces and nephews, including Jill Hoffman of Gray, who was like a daughter to her.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Magnolia Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
