Beatrice Cooper Robertson

Beatrice Cooper Robertson, 100 years old, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Perry Hospital. She was born on November 29, 1919, in Franklin County, Tennessee. Graveside services will be held at Blanche Cemetery in Blanche, Tennessee on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. EST/1:00 p.m. CST with Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating.

Beatrice was a member of Moundsville Baptist Church in Moundsville, West Virginia, for 43 years before moving to Warner Robins, Georgia, where she became a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She was a graduate of Blanche High School in Blanche, Tennessee and Edmondson School of Business in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a retired secretary of Glendale Elementary School in Glendale, West Virginia. She had previously worked for Allied Chemical Corporation, both in Huntsville, Alabama, and Moundsville, West Virginia, and for the U.S. Government, both in Huntsville, Alabama, and Washington D.C.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Mattie Blackwell Cooper; two brothers, Gary D. Cooper and John W. Cooper; one sister, Christine Roswell; and her husband of 58 years, William B. Robertson.

Surviving are her sons, Joel Robertson (Tami) of Bonaire, Georgia and Jeffrey Robertson (Angela) of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Derrick Robertson of Warner Robins, Georgia, Patrick Robertson of Warner Robins, Georgia, Jennifer Newhouse (Tanner) of Helena, Alabama, Christie Snyder (Jacob) of Chesnee, South Carolina, and Tiffany Martin (Dustin) of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; four great-grandsons, Drake and Conner Martin, both of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, and Pierce and Patton Newhouse, both of Helena, Alabama; and one great-granddaughter, Carsyn Snyder of Chesnee, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moundsville Baptist Church, 1911 4th St., Moundsville, WV 26041 or to Southside Baptist Church, 1040 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
