Benny L. Towns

Benny L. Towns, 66, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at a local hospital. Services will be held on Monday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Towns was born in Dodge County, Georgia, and was the son of the late Ben and Marie Towns. He was retired from Silgan Containers, where he was a supervisor. He was currently employed with Wal-Mart as Department Manager of the Garden Center. Mr. Towns was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Cora L. Towns, Warner Robins; four children, Ken Towns, St. Peters, Missouri; Hope Towns, Somerset, New Jersey; Bernard Towns, Blanchard, Oklahoma; and Karl Towns, Piscataway, New Jersey; sister, Dorothy Middleton, Eastman; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
