Bertha Lorraine Hays

Bertha Lorraine Hays, affectionately known by her friends and family as “B,” joined her beloved husband, Charles Eugene Hays, in Heaven, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. She was 84 years old.

Born in Carter Nine, Oklahoma on September 23, 1935, B was the daughter of the late Leo Winston and Juanita Mae Miller. She and Charles moved to Warner Robins with his military career where she enjoyed working in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. B’s fondest memories of fun included gambling a little in Las Vegas with Charles and their dear friends. She also loved traveling by bus and staying in hotels in Biloxi, Mississippi.

B is survived by her loving children, Connie Caracappa of Florida, and Theresa Baker and Franklyn Hays, both of Georgia; and grandson, Alex B. Chasteen of Texas.

B will be laid to rest in a private graveside memorial service for her family in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
