Bertha Shepherd Cappas, 90, entered into rest on Thursday, March 28, 2013.

Mrs. Cappas was born on March 14, 1923 in Milan, Georgia. She was of the Church of God faith. For many years, Bertha worked at Shirley Hills Baptist Church where she enjoyed nurturing and loving children as a Day Care Provider. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower gardens and bowling. Her parents, Will and Maebel Shepherd; children, James Franklin Davis, Jr., Dorothy "Dot" Bridges, Martha Cowart; and six brothers, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Joseph "Mike" Cappas and his wife, Vickie, Warner Robins; sister, Polly Bowen, Milan; twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, April 1, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
