Betty Frances Dunn Hurd

Betty Frances Dunn Hurd, daughter of the late Marvin Robert Dunn and Bernice Lewis McDaniel, stepdaughter of the late Herman McDaniel, went to be with her Lord on March 27, 2003. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 29, at First Baptist Church of Perry with interment following in the Perry Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Reverend Mike Slade, Associate Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, and Pastor Rick Parker of First Baptist Church of Perry will officiate. Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 pm on Friday evening at McCullough Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Happy Hour Center, 802 Young Avenue, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31093.

Mrs. Hurd was affiliated with The Citizens and Southern Bank in Albany, GA, The Bank of Warner Robins, and Citizens and Southern National Bank in Warner Robins and Macon. She retired from Nations Bank in 1991. She had served as President and Boardmember for the Houston County Association for Exceptional Citizens, Inc. (Happy Hour Service Center) since 1965. Mrs. Hurd was also a former member of the Middle Georgia National Personnel Association, Middle Georgia National Bank Women, Warner Robins Civitan Club and the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Warner Robins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry and the Joy Sunday School Class. Her daughter, Cynthia Dawn Hurd, and brother, Roy Edward Dunn, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Oliver J. Hurd, Warner Robins; sons, Danny Derue Hurd, Warner Robins; Terry Lee (and wife Jill) Hurd, Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Ryan Oliver Hurd, Berger, MO; Kayley Grace Hurd and Conner Lee Hurd, Shreveport; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Marvin and Betty J. Dunn, Middleburg, FL; nephews, Marvin Dunn, Timothy Dunn, Glenn Dunn, Randall Dunn, Shawn Dunn; niece, Vickie Dunn Jones; great-nephews, Brian Dunn and Scott Dunn; great-nieces, Christina Dunn and Jennifer Dunn; aunts, Vivian Lewis Rogers and Willene Lewis Dell; along with numerous cousins and loved ones.
