Betty Jane Bates

Betty Jane "Janie" Bates of Warner Robins, Georgia left this world for her heavenly home on October 28, 2010.

Ms. Bates was born on September 14, 1943 in Leeds, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Pearson; mother, Evelyn Stewart; step-father, Joseph Stewart; brother, Wayne Pearson; sisters, Jay Boy Medrano, Margie Jennings, Nancy Gillian; sister-in-law, Gwen Pearson; and great-nephew, Brandon Pearson.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Greg Bates of Warner Robins; daughters, Donya Villarreal of Cibolo, Texas; Tracy Tatum of Gulf Shores, Alabama; grandchildren, Brittany Buckingham, Amber Buckingham, Gabriel Villarreal, Jonathan Bates, Katherine Bates, Cecilia Bates, Carolyn Bates, Trey Tatum, Clayton Tatum; brother, Mike Pearson; sisters, Debbie Gray; Jeanie Hammonds; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Jerry Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send a charitable contribution to any charity involved with Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, or to your favorite charity under Janie's name.
