Betty Jean Austin

Betty Austin, 74, passed away peacefully at the Medical Center of Central Georgia on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

Betty was born on August 27, 1941 in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Virgil and Ruth Blair Byrd. She lived most of her life in Warner Robins. Betty was a devoted homemaker always caring to the needs of her family. Her greatest joy came from her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, her husband, Walter Eugene Austin, Jr., daughter, Debbie Austin, and sister, Joanne Byrd, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons, Brian Austin (Amy) of Warner Robins; Jeff Austin of Macon; Keith Austin of Florida; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and brother, Robert Byrd of Thomaston.

At the family's request all services will be private.
