Betty L. Thompson, 72, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2007.

Mrs. Thompson was born on May 15, 1935 in Asheville, North Carolina. Betty retired from the Houston County Board of Education where she was employed for many years in school nutrition at Northside High School. A fabulous homemaker, she truly enjoyed time spent with her loving family. Her husband, James J. Thompson, her parents, Theodore E. and Minnie Pearl Taylor, siblings, Thelma Mintz, Evelyn McDuffie, and Theodore E. Taylor, Jr., all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, David and Sharon Thompson, Debbie and Terry Moore, all of Warner Robins; sister, Lois Calhoun, Locust Grove; five grandchildren, Chris Thompson (Lauren), Perry; Rachel Jamison (Stephen), Auburn, AL; Sean Moore, Danielle Steele (Joe), and Brett Moore, all of Warner Robins; and three great grandchildren, Jordan Jamison, and Megan and Andrew Thompson.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
