During the early morning hours of Friday, June 3, 2016. Betty Williamson, 74, was reunited with the love of her life, the late John Benjamin Williamson.
Betty was born on October 20, 1941 in Quitman, Georgia to the late William and Haskell Yancey Taylor. She lived most of her life in Hawkinsville where she was a loving and devoted homemaker, always caring for her husband and children's needs. Betty was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church in Hawkinsville, before moving to Kingsford Personal Care Home in Warner Robins in 2009. She always had a zest for life and never met a stranger.
Along with her parents, her loving husband John Benjamin Williamson, her son Greg Williamson, and her siblings J.R. Taylor, Frances Simpson, Billy Taylor, and Emmett Taylor, preceded her in death.
Left to treasure Betty's memory is her daughter, Brenda Betancourt (Danny) of Warner Robins; son, Gary Williamson (Joyce) of Ellaville; grandchildren, Robbie Betancourt (Cristina), Tyler Betancourt, Taylor Williamson Todd (Curt), John David Williamson; great-grandchildren, Ava Betancourt, Robert Betancourt; sister, Mary Alice Griffin (Steve) of Valdosta, and brother, Mack Taylor of Macon.
Visitation with Betty's family will be Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016 in the Chapel of McCullough. Betty will be laid to rest in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband, at 3:00 p.m.
