Betty Windham

On the morning of Saturday, September 23, 2017, Betty Windham walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 83 years old.

Betty was born in Wauchula, Florida on October 29, 1933 the daughter of the late Thomas Clarence and Dora Rollison Grantham. In the winter of 1950, she married the love of her life, James “Mack” Windham and they moved to Warner Robins in 1955. Mrs. Windham devoted her life to serving her husband, raising their children, and making their home a happy place filled with love. She eventually went to work at Houston Medical Center as a nurse’s aide for many years and then at Sugrue’s Clothing Store. Mrs. Windham’s enjoyments included reading and taking care of her family. Central Baptist was her church home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ninfa Kastings; her two brothers, Buddy and R. C. Grantham; and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Karen Windham.

She leaves her memory behind with her loving husband of 66 years, Mack Windham of Warner Robins; son, Jim Windham of Bonaire; grandchildren, Danie Kastings Sykes, James Mack Windham II, and Adam Joseph Windham (Monica); great-grandchildren, Domynic Windham and Zachery Sykes; sister, Louise Marchesini of Warner Robins; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth and Helen Grantham; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Betty will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Betty Windham to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Windham’s arrangements.
