Beverly A. Wiggins

May 17, 1935 — September 7, 2018

Beverly A. Wiggins, 83, of Warner Robins, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Beverly was born in Frackville, Pennsylvania to the late Louis and Mary M Wentz. In the fall of 1953, she met Lamar, the love of her life and soul mate. On February 9th 1957, Beverly and Lamar were married and began their adventure of service to the nation as a member the United States Air Force. Always a consummate giver, Beverly selflessly volunteered thousands of hours in service to others. While stationed at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam she tirelessly worked as an assistant to the nurses on the medical teams that met wounded service members being evacuated out of Vietnam to hospitals stateside.

As a believer and follower of Christ, she enjoyed her fellowship as a member of Central Baptist Church and the Pete Joyner Sunday School class. Beverly’s biggest joys were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately call her “Gammy.”

Along with her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her sister, Fay Morgan and infant brother Wilbur Hoffman.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband Lamar; children, Randy and Debbie of Eatonton, Georgia, Perry and Annette of Chapman, Kansas and Jeffrey and Terri of Asheville, North Carolina; and sisters, Ruth Cooper (husband, Wilbur) and Carol Moore (husband, Adron). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Ashley L. Wiggins, Brandon L. Wiggins, Virginia H. Reddy, Jessica L. Amacker, Dallas L. Wiggins and Grayson L. Wiggins; and nine-great grandchildren, Sam, Madison, Charlie, Anna Claire, Jack, Chip, Emily, Amelia and Rue Beverly.
