Beverly Ann Johnson

October 30, 1954 — December 4, 2021

On December 4, 2021, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Beverly Ann Johnson, went to join God.

Beverly was born on October 30, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a 1972 graduate of Trumann High School in Trumann, Arkansas. With her husband Charles, she traveled extensively as a United States Air Force military spouse supporting her husband. She worked many jobs during her life including as a hospital ward secretary, realty secretary, and a military technical manual writer. As a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, she helped mold many of today’s young men. She was a friend to many who knew her and was always willing to help those in need. Beverly suffered with many illnesses throughout the last 15 years of her life. Christmas time was her favorite time of the year. She celebrated the true meaning of the season and loved teaching this to her children and grandchildren. God now has a new angel and we miss her very much.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Mooring, Jr. of Trumann, Arkansas, and brothers, Leroy Mooring and Richard Mooring.

She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Johnson of Perry; son, Kevin King and daughter, Lori Shannon King of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Christopher Meyer Johnson of Warner Robins, son, Charles E. Johnson II, daughter, Kimberly Johnson of Byron, Georgia; and brother, John C. Mooring. Her most favorite thing in life was to be a granny. She loved her nine grandchildren, Breanna, Gilbert, Shelby, Andrew, Jordan, Christopher “Jake”, Gracie, Chloe, and great grandson, Julian.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at McCullough Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at noon immediately following visitation in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Beverly will be laid to rest privately at Andersonville National Cemetery.
