Billy E. Rowland

Billy E. Rowland, 72, of Baxley, Georgia, formerly of Warner Robins, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

Billy proudly served his country in the United States Navy and graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He retired from Selco in Baxley 20 plus years ago. Billy was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He was also a superior role model for survivors of a stroke, outliving the odds he was given by many years.

Billy is walking today (with no assistance) on the Golden Streets of Heaven with his beautiful wife, Barbara Ann Davidson Rowland. Also, Billy has joined his parents, L.C. and Ella Williams Rowland; his brothers, Robert and Gerald Rowland, and Guy Loyd; and his sister, Linda Raburn. Oh, what a homecoming July 15th was!

He is survived by his daughter, Rhoda Ann Rowland of Perry; son, Kyle Rowland of Baxley; grandchildren, Billie Ann Godfrey of Guyton, Ashton Rowland of Baxley and Harlee Ann Dutcher of Perry; sister, Kaye Bailey (Jack) of Eastman; sisters-in-law, Betty Caldwell (Hollis) of Warner Robins and Shelby Loyd of Byron; brother-in-law, J.W. Davidson (Alice) of Americus; and several nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Visitation will be Monday, July 20, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Following the service, Billy will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Billy E. Rowland to Perry Volunteer Outreach, 801 Commerce St., P.O. Box 1824, Perry, GA 31069.
