Bishop Willie Dodson, Jr.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

Bishop Willie Dodson, Jr., son of the late Willie Cleve and Lissie Mae Dodson was born February 21, 1940, in Fort Valley, Georgia. He attended school in Powersville, Georgia, until he began working to help his family out. He was the Bishop and Pastor of Oakridge Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he remained faithful until his health began failing. He was a prayer warrior that believed in praying three times a day. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Annette Madison Dodson; five brothers and six sisters.

He departed his earthly tabernacle on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.

Bishop Dodson, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Willie James Dodson, III, (April) and Nathaniel Dodson of Warner Robins, Georgia; his daughters, Eloise Cunningham, Barbara Burnette of Warner Robins, Georgia; Michelle Smith (Maurice) and Tokyo Paul (Rodney) of Macon, Georgia; his sisters Bertha Trammell and Christine Friday of Warner Robins, Georgia; two sisters-in-love, Jean Dodson of Fort Valley, Georgia; Shirley McCrary (Albert Lee) of Macon, Georgia; adopted brother, Rev. Butch Dupree of Warner Robins, Georgia; brother-in-love, Rofus Braddy (Mary); ; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
