Bobby "Bob" Whiddon

Bobby L. (Bob) Whiddon, 76, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at home, while being cared for by his dear friends Van & Clara LeVar, and Mickey & Nancy Petrich, with help from family and Hospice.

Bob was born on February 10, 1938 in Panama City, Florida to parents William and Mildred Singletary Whiddon. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired with the rank of Tech Sergeant. Bob then went to work at Robins Air Force Base as an electronic technician.

Bob was very down to earth guy who enjoyed many good friends and family. He often could be found having coffee in the morning at McDonalds, Burger King, or the Huddle House. He also enjoyed working in his yard and garden, spending hours at Lowe's nursery seeing what might look nice in his wife's Memorial Garden. Bob was an upbeat guy that was always ready to help anyone, and never had a bad thing to say about anybody.

Bob was dedicated to his wife, Judith Schoonmaker Whiddon, and his son, Robert (Bobby) Whiddon, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his parents, his twin sister Betty Ratfield, his sister Else, and his brother Tommy.

His memory will forever be treasured by his sisters, Jo Ann (Frank) Martin of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Marie (Troy) Mullis of Tallahassee, Florida, his feline companion "The Colonel", as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be private.
