Bobby Joe Morgan

July 24, 1932 — July 25, 2021

On Sunday, July 25, 2021, surrounded by his family, Bobby Joe Morgan crossed into Heaven in the love of those who had gone before. He was reunited with his beloved wife of 66 years, Betty June Morgan, his parents, John and Jessie Morgan, his sister, Mariola Fields, and many other beloved family members and friends.

Born on July 24, 1932, in Piedmont, Alabama, Bobby spent his formative years in Alabama. He proudly joined the United States Army where he served during the Korean War and later pursued a Civil Service career at Robins Air Force Base from where he retired after more than 40 years of service. Bobby worked behind a desk for money, but worked with his hands for fun. He was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and other engines in his free time. Bobby also enjoyed meeting the with ‘Breakfast Club’ each day. A “walking encyclopedia” as described by his family, he absolutely loved all things history and genealogy and was a wealth of public knowledge. Bobby was eternally devoted and faithful to his family and dutifully took care of Betty as she battled Alzheimer’s in her last years. Being around his family was where he was the happiest.

Bobby’s memory will be forever treasured by his loving sons, Jeff Morgan (Joy) of Kathleen and Joel Morgan of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Amanda Pardue (Rex) and Ben Morgan (Gincie Warren); and great-granddaughters, Aubree and Autumn Pardue.

At the family’s request, all services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Bobby to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.
