Brenda Brillhart Sowers

Brenda Brillhart Sowers, 85, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 8, 2011.

Mrs. Sowers was born on October 20, 1925 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Lutheran Church of The Redeemer was her church home. Brenda was a wonderful homemaker and her family meant everything to her. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Howard William Sowers, Jr., and her parents, William E. Brillhart and Brenda Mae Leidigh Brillhart, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Howard William Sowers, III and his wife, Glinda, Edgewater, Florida; Jeanette S. Wall and her husband, Steve; Oviedo, Florida; and Jack A. Sowers and his wife, Cheryl, Snellville, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Howard William Sowers, IV; Evan Brillhart Sowers; Tara Funderburk; Candace "Nikki" Claud; Alicia Wall; Kristen Daniel; Bridgette Sowers; and Brandon Sowers; four great grandchildren, Kaleb Daniel; Kayleigh Daniel; Maya Funderburk; and Payton Claud; sisters, Jean Verdekal, and Anna Mae Faught, both of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be Friday evening, February 11, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society-Mesothelioma Research, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, Georgia 31201
