Brenda Gowan Tucker

Brenda Gowan Tucker, 53, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association, 363 Pierce Ave., Macon, GA 31204, or to the March of Dimes, 870 Lee Rd., Ste. A, Macon, GA 31204.

Mrs. Tucker was born in Griffin and was retired from the State of Georgia Family and Children Services. A member of the Lighthouse Church in Ft. Valley, she worked as the church secretary, was on the Day Care Board, was a member of the TAGS Support Group. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny C. Tucker, parents, Charles Gowan, Sr., and Melba Gowan, and sister, Patricia Cross.

She is survived by her daughter, Tara Wright (Mark), Byron; sister, Judy Howard (Billy), Macon; brother, Charles T. Gowan, Jr., Lizella; grandchildren, Alexis, Daylan, and Lance; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; and many friends.
