Carlton Slocum

Carlton Slocum, 76, entered into rest on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Mr. Slocum was born on December 27, 1936 in Ararat Township, Pennsylvania. A member of Christ United Methodist Church, he was also a Mason and Shriner, a twenty-nine year, perfect attendance member, of the Warner Robins Rotary Club, a member of the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce and the Finance Chairman of Christ United Methodist. His parents, Harold and Vera Slocum; and sister Eudora Potter, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-five years Sylvia Slocum; children, Denise Fortenberry (Bill) and Diane Ryan (Pat); grandchildren, Billy and Brett Fortenberry; great grandchildren, James and David Fortenberry and siblings, Marilyn Laurer (George) and Gary Slocum.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088 or the American Diabetes Association, One Corporate Square, Atlanta, Georgia 30329.
