Carol Jean Bird

Carol Jean Moncrief Bird, 76, entered into rest on Monday, December 27, 2010.

Ms. Bird was born on February 19, 1934 in Leeds, Alabama, and was a devoted homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Bird, and parents, Forney Alvie Moncrief and Martha Lucinda Seales.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughter, Cindy Bird, Warner Robins; son, Vernon Bird; granddaughters, Summer Martin and Amanda Walk, both of Warner Robins; brother, Bud Moncrief, Leeds; and sister, Margaret Turner, Cardiff, Alabama.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Reverend Todd Shearin officiating, with inurnment following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society National – GA, 455 Abernathy Road NE, Atlanta GA 30328.
