Catherine Payne

Catherine Payne, 85, entered into rest on Friday, May 11, 2018.

Catherine was born on February 2, 1933 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to the late Franklin Beard and Bessie Williamson. She loved to eat at Golden Corral and spend time with her cats, Boots Boots, Teacup and Midnight. Catherine was devoted to her family and cherished the time spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Albert Payne, parents, and sister, Mary Wilburn.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Jerry Payne of Macon and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The family would like to thank Hospice Care Option and Southern Heritage for the compassionate care given to Mrs. Payne.

Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Mrs. Payne will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
