Charlene Duggins Ward

Charlene Duggins Ward, age 68, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Houston Medical Center. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Virginia and Shirley Duggins. Charlene graduated from Valley High School in 1971 and married her high school sweetheart, Charlie, and moved to Warner Robins, GA in 1975. She was the Librarian at Central Fellowship Christian Academy for over 30 years before retiring in 2020. She was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. Charlene was a member of Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA and loved serving in her life group class at church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her family very much. She enjoyed reading, home making and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her brother, Shirley Duggins, Jr. and sister-in-law, Pam Duggins. She is survived by her husband, Charlie; two children, Ryan Christopher Ward (Kelly) and Kristin Rebecca Carrington (Daniel); four grandchildren, Isabella Wade, Rylynn Ward, Silas Ward, and Nyla Ward; three brothers; Gary Duggins (Jodie), Charlie Duggins (Tina) and Roger Duggins; and sister-in-law, Donna Schulz (Brad).

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. A private burial will be held at Perry Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Charlene Duggins Ward to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 510 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
