Charles Weston Moran, Usaf (Ret.)

October 24, 1944 — July 24, 2020

Charles Weston Moran, USAF (Ret.), 75, joined his Lord and Savior in heaven on the morning of Friday, July 24, 2020.

Mr. Moran was born on October 24, 1944, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Charles and Caroline Lincoln Moran. Upon completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for twenty-four years before retiring as a Master Sergeant. Following his honorable military service, he continued as a civil servant, working as an equipment specialist on Robins Air Force Base for twenty-two years before retiring in 2010. Golf was his sport, and he loved playing as well as watching. But the thing in life that meant the most to Mr. Moran was his family. A gentle and loving man, he was completely content living a quiet, simple life surrounded by those he loved most. After traveling the world in the military, he considered his home to be special and that is where he wanted to be. Mr. Moran was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Philomena McWilliams.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of fifty-four years, Nellie Rouzes Moran; his daughter, Caroline Hollingsworth (Virgil); his step-daughter, Charlene Rouzes; his grandchildren, Alison McWilliams, Emily McWilliams, Anna McWilliams, Charles Hollingsworth, and Johnathan Hollingsworth; his brother, Robert Moran; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

A rosary will be prayed on Monday, July 27, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
