Clifton "Bucky" William Keys, Jr.

April 16, 1947 — September 17, 2020

Bucky Keys, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 17, 2020.

A true Middle Georgia native, Bucky was born in Byron, Georgia, to the late Carolyn Phillips and Clifton W. Keys, Sr. As a civilian on Robins Air Force Base, he was a skilled Precision Equipment Specialist for many years. Bucky was of the Christian faith and a member of Byron United Methodist Church. In recent years, he attended Central Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing and scuba diving. He also had a passion for bowling and was a member of the Bowling Association and the Youth Bowling Association. Many will cherish Bucky’s memory and he will be dearly missed.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 17 years, Phyllis Dilks Midkiff; step-children, Kelli Zirkle of Perry; and Nick Midkiff of Colorado; grandchild, Liza Zirkle; and siblings, John Keys (Diane), Bobby Keys (Mary), and James Keys (Nita), all of Byron; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at the residence of Bucky and Phyllis Midkiff Keys in Bonaire. A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the residence of James and Nita Keys in Byron. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Clifton “Bucky” William Keys, Jr. to the American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road, PMB #359, Macon, GA 31210.
