Coach Milton Gallaher

Coach Milton Gallaher, 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

Born on October 15, 1951 in Macon, Georgia, Milton was one of four children to the late Milton Eli Gallaher, Sr. and Louise Hardy Gallaher. He retired from Macon Beauty Supply after 25 dedicated years, but his true passion was for coaching softball. Softball was Coach Gallaher's life and it showed as he enjoyed working with the Northside High School Community. On the softball field, he was a mentor to so many girls, including his daughters who also loved to play. Milton was also an avid Georgia Tech fan. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, affectionate father, doting grandfather, loyal brother, and wonderful coach.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 42 years, Karen Gallaher of Centerville; children, Cassey Kare (Gene) of Monroe County, Bubba Gallaher (Michelle) of Byron, Elizabeth Mathis (Todd) of Warner Robins, and Lara Gallaher of Centerville; grandchildren, Cody, Shawn, and Jenna Kare, Landon and Ellie Gallaher, Devin Todd Mathis, and Madison Gwyn Gallaher; sisters, Mary Pat Halligan of Crawford County and Paula Jennings of Warner Robins; brother, Terry Gallaher of Centerville; his beloved dog, "Snoopy"; and a countless number of softball girls and their families.

Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Mr. Gallaher will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
