Col. James Gary Martin, USAF (Ret.)

Warner Robins, GA ­ Col. James Martin, 61, died Friday, August 8, 2003 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday , August 12 in the Chapel of Robins Air Force Base. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday evening at McCullough Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Houston County or the American Cancer Society.

Col. Martin was born in Portland, Maine. He was a graduate of Portland High School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maine. He also has an MBA, an MB and an MA. He was retired from the United States Air Force Reserves with thirty years of service. He was also retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where he was Deputy Director of the SOF program and the electronic warfare program. He was currently employed by CACI. Col. Martin was member of the AIC, the Air Force Association and the Landings Golf Club where he was an avid golfer. He was a member of Our Ladies of the Skies Catholic Chapel at Robins AFB. His parents, James and Ella Martin preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Gaby Martin, Warner Robins; daughters, Capt. Heather Dahmer and Cory Dahmer of San Antonio, TX, Capt. Erika Hooper and Mark Hooper of Warner Robins; granddaughters, Madeleine and Olivia Hooper, of Warner Robins.
