On the evening of Tuesday, October 16, 2018, Dale Barnickel, age 67, was called to the Lord in heaven.
Born in Parma, Ohio on January 7, 1951, Dale was the son to the late Elroy and Gloria Perkins Barnickel. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked for Axium at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1688 in Warner Robins. Dale loved going on cruises, playing Texas Hold’em, and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved visiting his home state in Ohio where he delighted in eating corned beef sandwiches from Corky & Lenny’s Restaurant Deli and shopping at Sweetie’s Candy Company. First Christian Church in Warner Robins was his church home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Michelle Castillo.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 24 years, Judith Barnickel of Byron; stepdaughter, Betty Lewis; grandchildren, Dallas Murphy and Dakota Mims; sisters, Beth Barnickel and Laura McKinnon; nephew, Ben McKinnon; and niece, Elizabeth McKinnon.
Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at First Christian Church in Warner Robins with military honors.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Dale to the Moose Lodge #1688, 400 Carl Vinson Pkwy., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to your favorite charity.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Barnickel’s arrangements.
