David Alan Quick

February 11, 1961 — February 8, 2021

David Alan Quick passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2021, from complications due to Covid-19. He was 59 years old.

David was a man of many interests. Not only did he enjoy camping and fishing, he was a dedicated animal lover who adored his cats. He was an expert at woodworking. David also dabbled in drawing, singing, and playing guitar. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and was dedicated to spending time with his family.

He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Georgia College and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He also earned a degree in sheet metal mechanics from Central Georgia Technical College. David was a manager at Walmart for 24 years prior to joining Dixon Ticonderoga.

He was born in Macon on February 11, 1961, to the late W. Lee Quick and Julia Catherine Morgan Quick.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 10 years Gwen Smith-Quick; sisters, Donna Quick Leoni (Joseph), Nancy Quick Martin (Man); daughter, Kebra Davis (Josh); grandchildren, Joshua Greyson Gaines and Kashton Lauray Gaines; mother-in-law, Sue Smith; brother-in-law, Keith Smith (Saralyn); sister-in-law, Brenda Gammage (Vince); nieces, Catherine Martin, Spencer Stewart, Stephanie Phipps and Tara Nunalee; nephews, David Leoni and Bryson Gammage; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021 at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel at McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will take place privately at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in David’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
