David “Dave” Lee Kendall

November 8, 1934 — September 17, 2021

On Friday, September 17, 2021, David “Dave” Lee Kendall of Warner Robins and Lake Sinclair, Georgia, passed away at the Warner Robins Rehabilitation Center. He was 86 years old.

Born on November 8, 1934, in Elkhorn, Tennessee, Mr. Kendall was the son of the late George Lee and Chloe Louell Blount Kendall. Raised in the Elkhorn Community of Henry County, Tennessee, Mr. Kendall graduated from Springville High School in 1953. A true patriot, Mr. Kendall was a Cold War veteran. In 1952, he first enlisted in the Tennessee National Guard where Mr. Kendall served for two years. Coinciding with his time in the National Guard, Mr. Kendall also served in the United States Air Force for seven years until 1961. Afterwards, Mr. Kendall continued to support the military while working for many defense contractor companies. He retired from the Defense Industry Firms in 2000, before forming his own consulting firms, Kendall and Associates (K&A), and Kendall Tech Reps and Consultants (RTRAC). His second and final retirement was in 2019.

Mr. Kendall was a member of the Air Force Association, American Legion, and Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce where he was a founding member of the Aerospace Industry Committee and held multiple leadership positions. Mr. Kendall was also a lifetime member and held several office positions for numerous terms including the Southern U.S. Region Director and President of the Dixie Crow Chapter of the International AOC (Association of Old Crows) and the Defense Electronics Association. He received the AOC Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998 and the Dixie Crow Exemplar in 2012.

Mr. Kendall also enjoyed fishing and boating. He was a member of the ICBM fishing club for nearly 40 years and the Macon Motorboat club for 30 years. He spent many afternoons at his lake house on Lake Sinclair with his family. Mr. Kendall especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and taught many of them how to ski. He was also an avid golfer, loved to travel, and enjoyed barbecuing at family get-togethers.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kendall was preceded in death by his grandson, James David Kendall.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 66 years, Justine Kendall; children, Dave Kendall (Miszpah); and Jan Hearing (Eddie); grandchildren, Crista McDaniel (Courtney), Justine Kendall, Danyelle Lawhorn (Rob), Lois Carmicheal, Michael Wilson (Kelly); Aleisha, Dustin, and Dakota Hearing; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kala, Jessica, Noah, Alana, Haley, Jeri, DJ, Bradley, Katelynn, Emma, Nati, Nova, Levi, Everleigh; great-great grandchildren, Braleigh, Jackson, Kentlynn, Jamison; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation with Mr. Kendall’s family will be Monday, September 20, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Mr. Kendall will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
