David E. Stone

December 12, 1941 — April 7, 2016

David Stone, 74, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016.

David was born on December 12, 1941 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Furman and Lucile Miller Stone. He was a 3 year letterman football player for Warner Robins High School before graduating in 1960. David was employed by Xerox as a Customer Service Rep for 30 years until his retirement. An exceptional story teller, he also enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, and coaching little league football. However his greatest joy came from time spent with his beloved family.

Along with his parents, his brothers, Thomas Lee and Timothy Howard Stone, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 53 years, Dena Bussell Stone of Hawkinsville; children, David Everett Stone (Barbara) of McConnells, South Carolina; Dee Dee Stone Broxson of Naples, Florida; Douglas Jay Stone (Heidi) of Summerville, South Carolina; much loved former son-in-law, Ted Broxson; grandchildren, Brandi Broxson, Dustin "Sidekick" Broxson, Sydney Stone, Sophie Stone, Bryce Stone; sister, Peggy Wrenn (John) of Sumter, South Carolina; and sister-in-laws, Lynne Stone of Byron and Elaine Stone of Cordele.

A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of David Stone to Heart of Georgia Hospice 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Ga 31088.
