David Pickett

David Pickett, 55, entered into rest on Friday, April 12, 2013.

David was born on May 20, 1957 in Meade, South Dakota. He graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, Georgia and was a contractor with Norfolk Southern Railroad for thirty years. David was an avid hunter and gunsmith and member of B & B Hunting Club in Twiggs County. His mother, Patricia Ann Pickett, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty years, Michele Anne Pickett, Jackson; father, Jackson D. Pickett, Fort Valley; siblings, Linda Pickett and Joseph Pickett, both of Fort Valley; mother-in-law, Fran Lowe, Warner Robins; sisters-in-law, Amanda J. Foster, Byron and Valerie Doyle (Thomas), Kathleen; nephew and niece, Wyatt and Morgan; and beloved pets, Hershey, Daisy, Ginger, and Maxie.

A memorial gathering will be held Monday, April 15, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private. The family will accept flowers, or memorial donations may be given to Dolly Goodpuppy Society, Inc., P.O. Box 361, Barnesville, GA 30204.
