David Wayne Belson

David Belson, 64, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018.

David was born on November 23, 1953 at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia to the late Murvale, Sr. and Kathryn Belson. Following his graduation from Peach County High School, he continued his education at Macon Junior College. David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before beginning his career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base as a sheet metal mechanic. He had a love and admiration for aviation, music, and vacations with his family at the beach. However, his greatest joy was found in family and most particularly in being an adoring “Papa” to his beloved grandchildren.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife and best friend of 38 years, Jacqueline “Jackie” Karam Belson of Warner Robins; children, Sonia Belson Hoey (Jonathan) of Decatur, Amber Naomi Belson of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Kate and Jacob Hoey, and siblings, M.O. “Sonny” Belson (Mickey) of Titusville, Florida, Glenn Belson (Vicki) of Pensacola, Florida, Virginia Belson (Nancy Smith) of Palatka, Florida, and sister-in-law, Jane Bishop (David) of Warner Robins.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough with military honors.
