Debby J. Lord

Debby Jean Lord, 64, entered into eternal rest on the morning of Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Debby was born on July 26, 1956 in Breckenridge, Minnesota, to the late Maurice Joseph and Norma Jean Lord. A longtime resident of Warner Robins, she was a 1974 graduate of Northside High School. Debby’s most recent employment was with the Houston County Board of Education where she worked in the cafeteria at Warner Robins High School; she medically retired in 2014. She had a lengthy and rewarding 25-year career as Dining Room Manager with Shoney’s Restaurants before the closing of their local restaurants. Debby was also instrumental in training new employees in many new restaurant openings. She adored her animals and treated them as family. An avid reader, Debby enjoyed book swapping with family and friends. Her presence on earth will surely be missed by her family and friends.

Debby’s memory will forever be treasured by her siblings, Sandy Weirather, Lonny Lord (Colleen), Maureen Lord Wilson, Kerry Lopez and Tammy Lord Wilson; brother-in-law, Javier Lopez; several devoted and loving nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved and cherished as her own; and many other loving family members and close friends.

Her family wants to express their sincere gratitude to Compassus Hospice, and especially to Sarah, for being there with Debby and for comforting her family during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Debby’s life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating.
